Clean Water for All
Bringing sustainable wells to underserved communities through art and community support.
Well Project
For over a decade, Hands On Well has worked to bring clean water to underserved communities. Each well may serve only a small number of families, but the impact lasts for generations.
Our Next Mission: The 15th Well through 17 Butterflies
At Hands On Well, we believe that small acts of creativity can bring life-changing results. Our “17 Butterflies” project is a special fundraising initiative to provide clean water to communities in need.
* This fundraising initiative is made possible through a special collaboration with artist Lee Ko, who generously contributes her craft to support Hands On Well’s mission.
The Story of 17 Butterflies
These butterfly pins are more than just accessories; they are small pieces of art. Each one is carefully handmade by artist Lee Ko, using high-quality modern fabrics used for contemporary Korean Hanbok and hand-stitched with silk thread. These materials are chosen for their beauty and durability, making them practical for everyday wear.
Because every butterfly is crafted by hand, each piece is one-of-a-kind and truly unique. No two butterflies are exactly the same, making yours a special treasure to keep.
The mission is simple and powerful: when 17 butterflies find a new home, we can build one new water well for a community in need. Each pin you carry represents a part of this miracle. By choosing a butterfly, you are not only holding a piece of Korean tradition but also giving the gift of clean, safe water—the gift of life.
How You can Help
You can be a part of this journey. Whether it is a gift for yourself or a loved one, every butterfly helps us get closer to our goal of building the 16th well.
If you would like to own a piece of this miracle or learn more about how to support this project, please contact us at info@handsonwell.org.

Our Impact
We have numbers that push us to give in our best and make sure that we break our own records. We’re excited to see our growth and proud to be helping more people each day
